A Prayer of Welcome

Lord, our God, source of all life,

You reveal yourself in the depths of our being,

drawing us to share in your goodness and love.

Make the doors of our hearts,

our homes and communities

wide enough to receive

all those seeking human kindness and fellowship.

Fill us with JOY and laughter and generosity,

open our hearts and extend our hands, help us

to share your mercy and kindness with everyone we meet.

AMEN

  1. Rebecca,
Thank you so much for your engaging presentation yesterday at Nativity of Our Lady.

I mentioned a book to you afterwards that I am currently reading. It had been recommended to me by a dear friend who is a very discerning reader. I am so loving it and am reading it in short sessions so I can savor it and make it last longer!

The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak–A novel of Rumi

May this Lenten season reveal many treasures,
    Roz

    1. Roz,
It was a pleasure to be with you all as always. Thank you! And thank you for the book recommendation–I look forward to checking it out. Very soon I will post the notes from our session along with either links or full text versions of the poems, so please check back. With gratitude, -r.

  2. My submission for the next Lenten contemplation:
From William Blake “to See a World”

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
    And Eternity in an hour
